Default Dettol rinsing

Hi everyone,

Wondering if someone who has a bottle of Dettol laundry wash could read the instructions for me and let me know how it's done. I have a bottle, and want to do a rinse today because we wash in cold and it;s a pretty poo-ey load, but I'm in Thailand so the instructions on the back are all in Thai!

How do you do it?

Any help appreciated

Rover

I just brought some normal dettol and used a 1/2cap full.

makes the washing smell fresh and clean.

Not sure if that was what I am supposed to do but that is what i did.

Just pour about 60mls into the fabric softener dispenser. If you don't have a fabric softener dispenser then put in in the final deep rinse cycle.

I think mine says to use about 60ml in the final rinse.

ETA: D'oh, someone already said that.

Thanks, ladies I put a capful in the final rinse and then did another rinse ... cold water here, very humid (lovely environment for bacteria!) ... probably using too much water, but will follow this method for very poo-ey loads.

I wouldn't bother. If you are in the tropics you are presumably line drying and hence the sun will kill of the bacteria. I can't imagine that Dettol wash diluted to that extent will kill off bacteria - it might but methinks it is a gimmick. Try a pre-wash first to rinse off the poo (basically the machine does a rinse and gets rid of the water before starting a new wash) then add your detergent and wash as normal.
