I'd say:
1) warm (nearly dry) 2) cold (damp dry) 3) hot (very dry) But i'm no dryer expert!! Can you look up the model on the web, or ring a service/support line? Lou

The full sun means a hot cycle ... ie for cotton drill/towels/sheets
The half sun means warm ... ie for business shirts or clothes that only need a light iron ... would set the creases [if using the full sun] making ironing more difficult. no sun .... [aka full moon] ... means a cool cycle ... ie for delicates/acrylics or "airing" items. I am not sure ... but have been told that this is an asian system for temperature settings. Hope this helps |

Sorry meant to also add this from your question .....
1) the first is def a half sun ........ this is the warm cycle = top setting 2) Full sun or no sun ........... this is the cool cycle [ie no sun] = middle setting 3) Cloudy day or full sun?......... this is the hot cycle [ie full sun] = bottom setting
