Default Drpailing then washing?

Howdy All,

Bub is due in 7 weeks, and I am planning to dry pail my nappies before washing. I've ordered a little squirt, so I am guessing I just hose the nappy off in the toilet, then stick in the bucket until washing (prob every 2 days)? Do you give wee nappies a quick rinse off too before dry pailing?

I am just having trouble working out how they dont stain when theyre kinda sitting there unsoaked until washing (I know you do a pre-wash rinse so not worried about getting any gunk out).

Sorry if thats a stupid q!!

I didn't even rinse NB BF poo I only ever rince poo off in the toilet if it wont fit through the holes in my washing machine. Washing machines now days do a very good job of washing. I just put my nappies on a pre-rinse in the washing machine so they aren't being washed in poo and wee.

I dont get staining very often and if I do, and it bothers me, I put the nappies in the sun for a day.

Even if the poo is lumpy you can just scrape it into the toilet, no need to rinse at all

Oh yeah forgot to mention I have made some fleece liners for the nappies so these will take most of the pooey brunt.

My washing machine is about 20yrs old (but still works fine) and doesn't have hot water connected to it so I wouldn't feel very confident with not rinsing them at all (before pre-wash in the machine) and letting the machine "suck out" the poop!

Yeah I would just rinse pooey ones, and if any have a stain when they come out of the wash just pop in the sun. Works for me everytime
Your little squirt will be your best friend.....
