water use brag
so we're in a rental
and it's got the most non water saving shower head invented and single flush toilet some of the taps drip a bit, especially if ally turns them off, until someone with a bit of strength comes along we do laundry every day - sometimes up to 3 loads and we got our water statement from the council yesterday it's level 6 restrictions here atm and the aim is for 140l per person per day well we got a total of 167l per day that's for ALL of us!!!! we're a bit bewildered as the local average is 340l per day and the brisbane average is about 360l per day so either all these houses have at least 6 people in them or they are doing stuff that we aren't??? we don't flush every wee. ally and theo shower with me and the plug goes in post soap for ally to play in. we prewash the nappies. do the dishes by hand. change the dogs water every day. he gets a bath in the sink every few weeks. i boil the kettle about 8 times a day (hot water bottle) and we drink/cook with about 15l of filtered water per day. greg takes LONG showers. so i'm not really sure what else we could do to use more water. anyway we're a bit chuffed so i thought i'd brag

Great news Karen, maybe that shower head isn't as bad as you think
 Stage 6 - eek! We've been on stage 4 here for over a year, what does stage 6 involve? We can't wash cars, windows, only water graden beds 2 nights per week for 2 hours (that's only newish, we weren't allowed at all prior) etc.

it's the same as level 4 but with tighter restrictions on business
so from a home perspective it's the same i think i like the way they allow for pensioners to water their gardens - sometimes the garden is the focus of old peoples lives

prompting me to start checking my water meter weekly when I do my power meter.... still trying to catch Carmen's power usage... or lack thereof
