![]() some people say a teaspoon is enough for a load of nappies.... I use about a third of the recommended amount for my machine/powder.... and never have any problems with smells or things not getting clean.

I ticked all of them because it always changes. My current most often routine is to do a cold prewash then a cold or warm wash with no extra rinse (ah the beauty of soap nuts!)

I wash in cold, with 1/2 amount of detergent, then do any extra rinse with a cap of dettol if I've noticed the nappies are a bit smelly. I wash everyday.

I just do a heavy duty cycle (which just has three extra 2-min long non-agitation periods in the wash cycle to enable deep soaking). If I really need to I add vinegar or lemon juice to the rinse cycle - but I can't remember the last time I did that for nappies. Cheers!

Pre-rinse then wash............ all in cold
I have occasionally done a hot rinse of my nappies after a wash (maybe 5 times ever) that was when I was using a lot of hemp on Nate and it got smelly but at the moment the above works fine as we use a lot of bamboo for him.

So should you wash in hot water? Why? I haven't used MC yet but I have never used the hot or warm cycle on my machine lol
