Default Soap nuts?

I used a sample of these and quite liked them but would like to hear the experiences of those who have used them for a longer period of time.

I am attracted by the environmental aspect and that they're imported by boat rather than air . I'm also interested to hear from those who have felt they did make their washing, particularly towels and nappies softer, I heard a rumour of this somewhere

At the moment we're using Euco Fresh but normally use Trinature .

TIA

Hey luv,

We have been using them for almost 1 yr now (maybe 10 monthish). I honestly think they are awesome for a nut!

I don't have any problems needing to add any essential oils etc. And yes I find they do keep some items softer than normal detergent....I also use tumble dryer alot.
Many will argue that it doesn't clean as well as detergent because of no suds, but you really DON'T need the suds produced by chemicals to get a clean.

Any stains are removed by sun/lemon juice/ or bicarb paste in our house now. And yes some stubborn stains may remain, but a subsequent wash will get it out.

Here's the link to order

Product Page

I should add - maybe get a trial pack first to see if you're happy with them, as it does get mixed reviews.....you either love 'em or hate 'em

Thanks Kat, we don't use SLS or any of it's derivatives in anything, so are familiar with the no suds things I'm not too fussed about stains, I'm realistic, I have a child
We don't use a dryer either, hmm, anyone else? Particularly anyone who uses the nuts in a front loader and doesn't use a dryer.

Have you found the kg pack did last, or will last a year, Kat?

Not for me - I'm onto my second bag already.
I like and prefer washing on warm/ hot for most things, and I can definitely see the difference when I use a new batch of nuts for a wash.
Using hotter water will disintegrate them more, but the wash/clean quality is better IMO.
However if you follow their recommendations, ie cold/warm wash the nuts will last a lot longer.

I get about 3 washes out of a batch.
