I'm going to take some liberties here and declare this here Avatar Challenge open!
Come one, come all, to the funnest fun on NC!

Further liberties shall be taken by naming the theme:
PREGNANCY and BIRTH

In honour of all you amazing women who are or have been or plan to be pregnant and birthing. And because I am feeling mighty clucky right now.

I'll leave it open until the end of next week, yeah? People always complain that they didn't see it until it was too late (yep, I've done that too) so hopefully a week will get them all in.

Ah, to explain for the newbies: Pic a photo which fits the theme in some way. Change your avatar to that pic (make sure you follow the rules for avatar sizes ) and post in this thread telling us about your pic. I will chose a couple of favourites and put up a new thread next weekend so everyone can vote on their favourite. The winner gets to pick the next theme and so it goes on. Don't be scared, have a shot!
