Revealing myself...

I thought I was overdue in introducing myself properly here at Nappycino. I have been brief with personal information due to a bad experience in the past. I now have enough distance from those events to feel confident about sharing a little more about myself

My username refers to what I shouted when I saw the results of my first positive pregnancy test! The Holy Cow or sacred cow, is also viewed as the earth mother in Hindu religion which I discovered much later and rather like.

My name is Jayne, yes another Jayne to add to the nappy world. I have a 2.5 year old daughter Olivia who is an absolute delight and I'm exactly 20 weeks pregnant with bubba #2 due in early August '07.

I am the sole person behind the online store ecobabe which consumes nearly every moment of my toddler's sleeping life and then some. I started ecobabe just over 12 months ago in an effort to develop a sustainable business that in time would provide us with a good income stream and allow me to share my passions and discoveries with other new parents. I'm in it for the long haul and loving it.

I am a passionate yogini and vegetarian, hugely concerned about the state of our environment and the future we are creating for our children. I have a great interest in natural healing through diet, herbs and other natural remedies which also embraces natural parenting practices. I am an avid consumer of information in these areas and tend to have a little knowledge on a large number of areas and am always seeking more but am easily sidetracked by tangents .

My work and educational background is in marketing, business administration/management, art theory, architecture and design. I have a BSc(arch), BAT hons, and a partially completed MBA that I have no plans to finish...

Oh yeah, I turn 37 this year, my husband is 41, and we have been together for 16 years I don't think I'll be adding this info to my sig... somedays I find reading other people's signatures makes me feel old, reeeaaalllly old.

And yeah, I get whta you mean about feeling old - Many of our members here were not yet born when I was already in primary school (and in some cases, high school).

I can hear the passion in your writing - I'm sure your business will become very successful because you are so commited. I always assumed you were Hindu because of your username.
