Welcome Sherree
Looking forward to getting to know you better. I'm Cas, mother of 4, wife of one hehehe. Currently breastfeeding, not pregnant, spending far too much time on the net, studying, selling nappies, occasionally doing housework and cooking, sometimes I even get out! lol Unfortunately, living in the bush means that there's not many places to go (unless you go bush - we don't )Catch you round Cas

Welcome Sherree
! I hope you enjoy chatting to everyone here, I know I really do! Great place to talk about our obsessions with cloth and woolies, ask questions or just see what everyone else is doing!

welcome sheree, you've come to the right place! loads of people here, love to look at other people's newest project that they';ve made, to ooh and ahh over!
heaps of mad knitters on here too, you'll be RIGHT at home ha ha! And then there are those of us who are really good at the "admiring and appreciating your skill" part ha ha. i semi-attachment parent too, but sometimes i'm thinking, maybe AP just gives you some options, and you customise that to suit your family, like a smorgasboard. E.g i don't use slings with my bub due to my back, and i felt i'd failed AP because of that, but i'm realising now, we will AP just in other ways. One size doesn't fit all, all you can do, is open your mind to new ideas, see if it suits your family or not, adopt what does suit, leave what doesn't. i think there may be a thread topic on NC too called something like "Night Nappy Struggles" to do with heavy wetters - might be useful to you to read. Good on you for being the sole MCN user where you live, i know it makes me feel better being part of a community where other bubs are in cloth - and i'm in a city! anyhoo, welcome! Gigi

Hi and welcome to NC.
I think AP is a spectrum, not a destination, and you do what works for your family. I remember hearing a famous pediatrician saying that co-sleeping was the best option, but then he tempered that by saying - you know, it really is about how your whole family gets the best sleep. If DS sleeps in our bed, he plays, and none of us get any sleep at all. So he's in his own bed. But if he wakes I attend to him immediately. That way all three of us are as happy as we can possibly be with our sleep. Yk, it works for us. Catch you round.

Hi and welcome Sheree,
![]() I think my 'version' of AP is a little like Tanja's. We tried co-sleeping with Ben and none of us got any sleep. Ben and Josie both sleep in their own rooms and either my husband or I go to them as soon as they need us...sometimes both at once! A friend of mine recently reminded me to "march to the beat of your own drum". I've only recently discovered the joys of slings and now use my ring sling almost daily and also have a fabulous Ergo. Enjoy NC. I love it and all of the amazing, helpful, friendly, supportive people here
