Default New Mum in waiting

Hi Everyone,
I am new - obviously otherwise I wouldn't be posting to introduce myself. Being part of any sort of forum is new to me so I am still trying to find my way around...

I am due to have my first child in November at a time currently known only to him, but after the 10th. I feel cloth is a better environmental choice (not to mention so much cheaper) and as an archaeologist I am not keen to thing about all the disposables poor archaeologists of the future are going to find. I am also really excited about all the new covers and things - no more PVC pilchers! I am just about to start knitting my first cover so wish me luck! I am yet to convince my husband that cloth is a good idea though, but I am hoping to convert him...

I am looking forward to being a part of this community and learning from all your amassed wisdom on nappies.

Susan

Hi Susan,

This is my first forum too and it's been absolutely fantastic. You'll get lots of help here but the only problem is that it feeds the addiction and you'll end up with a nappy "problem" too (i.e. sooooooo many nappies and not enough cash)

Enjoy!

Nice intro Susan

Looking forward to hearing all about how you find starting out in cloth,
and have to agree with you on the potential state of future archaeological digs!
Welcome to cloth and to here, and hello to your Belly as well

Hi Susan and welcome!

What a great time to jump on board and get started on your cloth nappy journey.

Enjoy your last week or two of pregnancy and get those knitting needles clicking - not so easy to knit with a newborn in your arms
