I'm a pretty new mum - DS is 6weeks today! but I was determined to not use disposables from early on in the pregnancy. I was gearing up to use ol' fashioned flannel and terry flats, convinced that I would have to suffer for my ideology, then a friend of mine told me about MCN and now I am gathering quite a stash. It's a whole lot easier than I had expected, plus a boosted fitted nappy or AIO can cope with my son's massive night efforts in a way that disposables just couldn't. Plus my minkee covers are so very cute!
In a previous life, I was a railway signalling engineer (yes one of about 20 women in the entire Australian railway industry! well not quite that bad but pretty close). We are an outdoorsy family - bushwalking, sailing, surfing, rockclimbing and such. Now that I have just about recovered from delivery, the only questions are whether to take the sling or the ergo out walking, and how soon can we teach DS to swim so he can come dinghy sailing with me! I have been lurking on this site for several months, and have been wanting to post and say hi, so I am finally posting: Hi everyone! Alex |

Hi Alex, welcome, you will love it here and well done for using MCN, yes so much nicer than disposables.

Hi Alex,
Welcome to Nappycino! You sound very like-minded to myself. Love the sling for walking when they are so little. It might be a while before your bub strats swimming though...
