Default Very new to Forums & cloth!!!!!

Hi my name is Mel I am very new to all of this forum thing, but would love some answers to some questions I have!!!! I don't know any abbreviations of words, sorry so this will be long winded....
I am married with one beautiful 3 year old daughter who brightens every day of our lives, life was certainly boring without her
We have a second baby due in Oct and then a wedding six weeks later that I am maid of honour in, I'm a sucker for punishment I'll be pushing all diets available once baby is born
Was wondering if the mcn make the baby warm or is there any preferable materials to be used for warmer weather, my first daughter was/still is quite a hot child.
I'm sure I'll be back with more questions real soon

Hi and welcome!! I don't think there would be any difference between sposies and cloth really. You could look into wool longies/shorties as they are warm in winter and cool in summer while keeping baby dry and comfy!! Have a look around at the links there is many hours of reading ( i just realised I have been on here for 2 hours doing so LOL )
Hope others have more luck answering your questions (I am a new mcn convert who is yet to try them)

Hello, welcome to NC!

If you use natural materials (cotton, bamboo, hemp, wool) bubba won't get too hot.
I found DD (darling daughter) did get a bit hot in summer with fleece inners in nappies but if you're on the ball with changing bub that shouldn't be much of a problem.

Welcome to NC

Keep the questions coming. Everyone here is more than willing to help out with answers I'm sure. I've learned so much since joining up - about all sorts of things besides MCN too!

welcome

My youndest is hot blooded too but I find he doesn't get too bothered by his nappies, like PP ( previous poster) said, just make sure to change frequently. I dont use fleece liners though, I use a piece of jersey and once it looks yuck I either bleach it or toss it
Liam doesnt like fleece much

Hi and welcome to NC

Because mcn are made from natural materials and are breathable they are actually cooler for bub than disposables.

Hi Mel
Not all MCN are all natural materials, fleece, suedecloth, PUL and minky are all non natural fabrics, so for a cooler nappy, maybe try just those that are natural like cotton, hemp and bamboo. Having said that, I used fleece and suedecloth all through summer and they definatley werent hot or sweaty at all - very surprising! Any type of MCN definatley seems to be cooler than plastic disposables.
Congrats on your baby due in Oct (mine too )) and goodluck on your cloth journey.
