HI,

I am just writing this post as a newby to introduce myself. I haven't had a chance to read any of the other introductions, so I am not sure what information others have added, but here goes..

We live on Sunny Coast and my dh and I have an 18 mth old son and we are expecting another bundle (we don't know the sex yet) on Nov 3. We have had a bit of a problem with this pregnancy as despite me being very healthy, my 18 week scan detected a problem with my unborn bubs left lung. It is called Congenital Cystic Adenomatoid Malformation (CCAM) so we were having regular in-depth scans from 18 weeks onwards to monitor the growth of the lung which was growing out of control and was at risk of squashing bubs little heart which could have had dire consequences.

Anyhoo.. we have been told we have a 95% of taking home a baby but bubs will need surgery once born (we only received that news about 10 days ago), so I have started the excitement that most people expereince once they have their scans. I am so excited to get newborn nappies for the new baby as well as ones that my ds can wear!!

I initially bought terry cloth when pregnant with ds but ummed and arred about using them and probably used them about 10% of the time, but remained so interested in MCN. When dealing with the initial bad news about bubs no2 about 10 weeks ago, I thought that I would really get into the MCN caper as a distraction.

I have developed an okay stash but as everyone knows you can always want or need more as yours and bubs wants and needs change.

I have recently become addicted to knitting soakers so have just started (last night) my first project on circulars. I am starting Shannon's newborn soakers... hmm .. we shal see how it works..

I can't really think of anything else... I may be familiar to some at another forum as wild at heart.. so hi to all old and new friends

Sorry to hear that your little one is going to have a rough start but at least you know what to expect. Congrats on the pregnancy though. How exciting.

I too am a newbie but I have just started my collection of MCN. I LOVE THEM!!!
I would be keen to see how the soaker looks as I am yet to start.
