Hello. My motivations for using cloth. What's yours?

Hi all,

I’m Sharon. Mum to Elise, who recently turned 1. It’s been a real leaning journey so far as well as heaps of fun!!

I started using cloth around 6 mths ago, after I finally go the courage and it’s been great. My main motivation was the chemicals in disposables. I cringed at the thought to having chemicals against her skin for at least 2 yrs of her life. I’ve tried researching this, but there hasn’t been a lot done. I really think we don’t know what the implications will be down the track, so I’d rather use cloth and be on the safe side.

The money saving and environmental factors are awesome too. You really feel like you’re doing the right thing for the planet every time you change a nappy.

Good choice and yes I agree there's so little information out there but I'd rather keep my boys and their bits healthy.

My original motivation was $$ but as I've fallen in love with cloth I love the feeling of doing the right thing by the environment and also not putting paper and plastics etc on my babies beautiful butt!!

My original motivation for using cloth was the cost factor, coupled with the environmental benefits. I then grew to love their cuteness and I just HATE the look of a disposable peeking over the top of a bub's pants!

I'm quite worried about the chemicals they put in a lot of things!! Perfect example is trying disposable wipes on my babies bum while on holidays, and her getting the worst nappy rash she has ever had! and how many babies use them all the time??

I love mcn, they are cost effective, environmentally friendly, baby bum friendly, they look gorgeous and feel lovely!!

Your bubba is two days younger than mine!!
