    Talking Hello!

    Hi!
I'm new here! I'm a new mum to Miss C who is 7 weeks old and new to the whole MCN thingy. Although I did do a little research before DD was born, obviously not enough when I got carried away by the spotlight huge discount sale when 3 doz terry flats were purchased I also have a dozen flannel flats. And do you think you can buy covers at the shops - well of course not

My experience of nappies dates back to childhood in the late 70's and 80's, being the eldest of a large family means that you become involved in looking after the little ones - which of course means changing nappies and folding nappies. Fortunately not washing them but certainly hanging them on the line for mum!

So now I have done a little research and have some Bummies Super whisper wraps and a couple of soakers on the the way. I have been using my cloth nappies for the past couple of weeks as my supply of disposables runs out which will happen any day now - DH is in for a shock! He's been using disposables even when I have cloth on her bum.

I am planning on sewing as well as knitting covers. I have a spotlight within walking distance - a good excuse to go for a walk! Hopefully I won't get too carried away

Hi snowie! Congratulations on your new bubba!

Check out Oz Cloth Nappies: Information on Cloth Nappies in Australia and New Zealand: Support, Information, Chat, and Links , there is heaps of good info on there!! And don't worry my hubby was the same, always reached for a sposie, until I said that's it -we're not buying anymore! And he has coped just fine with them!!

    Hi! Welcome to NC

My DH was the same when I first started using cloth. He'd only change Erin if she was wearing a sposie so I had to buy a special supply for him. BUT we've been sposie free for the last couple of months and he's not complained and is quite happy to change her bum...as long as I deal with the poop

Nothing wrong with flats, they're a great option when you have good covers. I still love flats and use them despite all our mcn

Hello, congratulations on your little one! My hubby managed to come on board pretty quickly but yes, I still am left to deal with the poop. He says, "I didn't sign up for that part" hahaha! Oh well!
