Hi all
Yet another newbie
I was put onto this site by a friend from playgroup - sorry, I dont know her username.
Moved to Melbourne (from Perth) a few months ago with hubby, our first-born (the dog) and our daughter Lexi (now 8 months old)

Have been a cloth convert for a couple of months now. I met a lady in the parents room at the shopping centre (as you do haha) and got chatting with her about cloth nappies. She referred me to her friend's shop - cotton bottom, and as they say the rest is history.
I tried a few different brands and types of nappies before settling on the bumgenius pockets and totbots fold out pockety things (because they have the most gorgeous prints!!). The only drama I've had is that my little one (who is a compact little unit - 8months old and still in 00's!) has had to go up a pant size now that she's got a big bum haha.

Aside from being a Mum, I was a Home Ec teacher in my previous life, so love sewing and spending quality time in my kitchen. I've always got a couple of projects on the go - atm 2 quilts, one baby sleeping bag and a floor mat! I can vividly hear myself not that long ago, with all the naivety of an expectant first time mum, saying "It'll be great to be on maternity leave. I'll have so much time to do all my stuff! Babies just sleep lots dont they?" Aside from that I am absolutley in love with my motorbike. A sexy blue/black K7 GSXR600 for those who know bikes.

Yes, with 2 kids my sewing projects are always 'works in progress', it's hard to get something completed. Love to see what you're working on.
