Welcome. Sounds like pocket nappies might work for you.

Hi and welcome

re drying time, so long as you address these:
quantity (how many nappies you have)
type (What they're made of will determine drying time (and in reverse, absorbency) and how many layers of that fabric)
then the fact your line is in shade won't be too much of a 'time' hassle.

our line only has one line that gets any sun as it's undercover - I didn't have enough nappies before, so was drying inside under ceiling fan/airer, or heater in winter. Now I have enough nappies, it's not a prob. If you can sew, you can add to your nappy stash quite economically.

anyhoo, welcome

Welcome Elizabeth!

I live in Canberra and during the winter, it takes forever to get anything dry. I am currently experimenting with just using terry flats (just in a pad fold) but inside a good fleece cover. So far its been great - no leaks and it dries in a couple of hours - and that's hung inside the house (though near the heating vent)!
