Hi everyone
My husband and I live in Sydney and are expecting our first baby in September. I'm currently 25 weeks pregnant. Have been considering cloth nappies but am concerned about the amount of time they take to dry (normal clothes aren't drying on our shady line at the moment and it's only just the start of winter!) and practicality with moving around for 4 months of the year (my husband is studying and we get long holidays where we visit family). Any tips would be appreciated! |

Hi Elizabeth and welcome !!
We started using flanny flats and then terries when our baby was brand new. Now that we're using fitted I do notice the difference in drying time. This just means i need more and so now I'm deliberately buying quick dry nappies and pockets!!

Hi Elizabeth!
Welcome to NC! I must admit drying time is probably one of the only downsides to modern cloth. That said, I'd still make the same choice even after we had 3 days of rain last week and I nearly used all our nappies before the first lot were dry (inside) . But I have realised that hanging them inside with a heater going makes for a relatively "quicker" drying time! HTH!

Hi Elizabeth, welcome to nappycino!
I love my pocket nappies for their speedy drying time, I have lots of stuffers so don't mind waiting for them to dry. With my fitteds and AIO's drying them inside in front of the heater helps, and I often line dry first (to give them some sun) and then finish them up in the tumble dryer. Good luck with the remainder of your pregnancy!

Welcome we are in Sydney also, so drying some days is hard, we also put in side to dry as the air is cold and makes them quite damp. so i usually wash in the arvo when there is sun (most times ) then in at night times, back out at 10am in the am.Yes inside with the heater is good idea, best to stock up heaps LOL well that what i do he he, congratulation on your pregnancy.Kristie
