Hello all,

My name is Sharyn and I live in Brisbane. I am a mother of 2 and an Omar [a bit better than "other nanna"] to 1 Grand-daughter who will turn 3 at the end of September. I have a daughter [23 years] and a son [20 years]. So I suppose you could say "Old Ma" instead of Omar !!!

I have enjoyed reading all the various posts - and the one thing I have found interesting - is some of the parenting styles voiced here are very similar to the way I "mothered" my 2 when they were little.

I make and knit clothing for Prem Babies and up........more about that another time.
My hobbies include knitting; quilting and embroidered gift-cards.

Welcome Sharyn My girls had a beautiful Oma (Dutch) who has since passed on.......but I always love to see that name, it reminds me of her and how sweet she was.
