Steph, I've found sewing my own quite enjoyable, I especially love choosing the colour combos! I found both the Honeyboy and VB pattern easy to follow and would recommend them both.

I've got a November bubba (from last year) too. It is a great time of year to have a baby cos it's not so cold when you're up in the middle of the night. (I'm still up in the middle of the night tho.)

The HoneyBoy and VB have been my favourites on my newborn too!
Definately go the newborn size if you want a good fit.
this is my little man at 3.6kg and a few days old - the HoneyBoy looks like it's right on the edge of the touchtape but it really isn't, we just had not finished adjusting the little fella!
