VBSN - Very Baby Simply Nights VB - Very Baby wick/wicking - basically its wetness spreading from the absorbent material onto the pul... so a leak...it could be caused by the nappy being saturated so nowhere else for the liquid to go - or a bad fit, say around the legs seal...I'll just add that it's the same effect you see if you hold a piece of material in a bucket of water. The rest of the material will become wet in time as the water travels up through the fibres of the material. So it "wicks" up the material. This happens most commonly with water loving materials, so a bad fit around the legs as Joh has said will allow wetness to touch babies clothes and then the wetness then wicks to form a much bigger patch than it would have been otherwise. That's why nappies made with PUL attached to polyester may last longer on baby than nappies made with PUL attached to a cotton outer. Polyester isn't as water-loving as cotton so won't wick as much. WM - WAHMania WW - The Wee Wuns - Wee Weka (Pattern) WW- wooly wonders ZZ - zig zag
