Default Just wondering about stash mix and start up

Just to start of this post a bit, and also out of personal interest;

I was just wondering how many people have a mix of nappy brands in their stash, or do you stick to the one brand that you know works?

Also what did you start out with?

I have a mix of many types that i have found on auction sites and Hyenering. Most of them are trim, but i started out with swaddlebees pockts and Baby Beehinds. I tend to reach for the pockets for DS and AIO/ fitteds for DD, with PUL covers.

I dont think I could have stuck with one particular brand..I would like our stash is a mix of my faves..but it seems everything I try is working well for us so its impossible to keep to a budget

I have a big mix. My first was the original peapods. I sold them and bought 4 BBH. I now have a great variety. I keep trying different ones. The only nappies I have more than one of are the BBH and Greenkids and IB's

I have tried lots of different brands but now I just stick to the ones that I know & love!

For us that means Baby Beehinds, Very Baby, Bits for Bots & Greenkids.
With the exception of only a few nappies, my entire stash is built around these brands

I like to have a mix of everything.
I do have favourites which I sometimes pick first but I love all the nappies I've tried. Only a couple haven't worked for us so I've sold them.

We do have more of some nappies though, most of our fitteds are Cute Tooshies, AIO's a mix and Pockets mostly swaddlebees.

I have always had a mix. I had no IRL friends using MCN when I started, so based my choices on recommendations on here (when it was Ecobubba) and NP forums, and the Modern Cloth WAHM list to find as local as possible.

If I could have my time over (which I almost am with v3.0 due in August), I'd go prefolds & covers for the first 4 months, pockets & AIO's thereafter. DH is going to sew me some funky one-size covers that convert to pockets with gutters. He thinks he can do a better job than me (and I agree!).

I only have Cute Tooshies and Cuddlebuns plus I've now got 2 BBB on the way and that's all I'm going to get for now, I'll probaly buy more nappies when I have no.2 (only trying atm) but I'll still stick to Cute Tooshies and Baby Behinds. I tried some older style peapods and Motherease Sandy's but found the peapods weren't right for DD and the sandy's to bulky so sold them. I figured since one-size fitteds do the trick for us we'll stick with them

Plus I love being able to put hand-knitted wollies over them So cute!

Ditto what Leah said

But I do have some faves though and I have what works best for us and stick to it.

Most of my fitteds are VB, Cuddlebuns, Itti Bittis. Pockets are Swaddlebees and Liam's bum. AIOs are HB, Bubblebubs and Itti Bittis.
