Default Is there a Modern Cloth Nappy Comparison Chart?

With all this research I am doing on choosing which MCN's to get , I started making up a comparison chart of all the brands and their features, then stopped and thought, wait, someone else has probably already done this!

Does any one know if a comparison chart exists?
I wanted to list all the different brands available and then know certain features like:
style (pocket, AIO, fitted), cost, sizing (one size or sized), outer material (PUL, wool, fleece etc), inner material (suede, microfleece etc), soaker material (hemp, bamboo, microfiber), closings (snaps or velcro etc), laundry tabs, other relevant features.....

have never heard of one, but it would be great for the advocacy kits around, or just an excellent resource for NC

I have not seen one either...I remember doing the same thing when I started out though! Bits of paper everywhere!! I enjoyed it because it helped my initial MCN 'education' I would check out the Oz Cloth Nappies site though...maybe not a chart (?), but lots of descriptive info http://www.ozclothnappies.org/

Cheers

It's a great project, and something we've talked about a fair few times - the only trouble is, it's much bigger than it looks, and is a very rapidly moving target. So it would take a fairly intensive commitment to maintain. It would be great if someone does

I think that its wonderful that you are trying. I will however say that Cloud_Skye is on the right track. Trust your instincts. You'll find that alot of nappies are very simalar. I would just start with a few common nappies that are easy to get your hands on eg. BBB, Cute Tooshies, Tot Bots, SB's and go from there.

I am sure that there are heaps more that people could add to that list. Once you buy a few you will soon find out what you do and don't like about them and then you can start to refine your stash. You can always sell them if you don't like them.

I like my current stash of a few fitted sized nappies, a few one sized fitted nappies and a few AIO's. Oh, and flats :-)

From what I have been told you also will have different needs as your bubba gets older. For example I love velcro with a little bubba but I know that people with older bubba's love their snaps.

Great Idea. Perhaps could start with a small chart to keep the project under control - just do the basics to begin with, then add in time. Great Idea. Hmm

That's a good idea Hannah. Basics first, functionality, cost, type, then later add material and features etc.
