Thanks guys. I havent been around for her as much as she was for me, seeing as I already have my little guy and he is a handful and she is really interested so I thought that instead of making the mistakes I made, I can be the almighty grasshopper master (I know noone in real life that uses MCN) so I can be the expert in a situation rather than a complete novice like I am around here

sounds great!

I would definitely recommend something newborn sized.... anything bigger and she may forget about it by the time the baby is big enough, or she may not get a good fit and have leaks if the nappy is too big.
I second the idea of the small berry plush AIOs... they have the "wow" factor, although I would suggest using it as a cover for a newborn, they seem to be on the large side (they are still way too big as an AIO on my 4.3kg boy at the moment, but work great as a cover)
The newborn honeyboys would be a great idea too. they fit so well and lesley's are so beautifully made, your friend would love them. (and because MM fleece wears so well, it would stay looking great for many washes...so she could show it off lol)
