Default Mummas of newborns...

If you were to receive some nappies what would they be? Given that they would be for a newborn, what you have liked to get? My best friend is having a bub in May, and I want to get her some nappies for her baby shower. She is keen on giving it a go, and loves all Wills nappies so I though it would be a great gift. As well as giving it to her at her baby shower it might get the word out there (plus I am packing my nappy bag with a variety of nappies)

I have thought about some fitteds, but I used terry flats so I am unsure what would be viable as well as user friendly. Any advice taken!

My girlfriend has been giving medium or small PUL pockets as gifts for newborns. Because they can be used as a cover when bub is really tiny and then a nappy later.
So far she has given 3 away and they have been well received from all reports.

I had a small baby (2.6kg), and the Whizz Kidz newborns (available on Ozebaby) have been sensational. Hamish is now about 4.5kg, and still has plenty of room in them - they just need some boosting.
They are also a great price at $9 each.
The bummis covers in small (the super shisper wraps with Aplix) are also a great cover over the top from about 4kg, and these can be used for prefolds/flats as well.

I have loved using all my newborn fitteds. They are just so easy for night time changes, and the good ones never get blowouts.

Um, probably anything newborn sized hehe. Fitteds or a nice show off AIO. Or a newborn sized cover. There are so many options!!

I am yet to have my newborn, but have been getting my stash together in the past few months. I am loving the Swaddlebees fitteds in newborn size...they are just so lush and beautifully made (but pretty exy). I am hearing great things about Whizz Kids so have a couple on the way (and they are much more economical). I think that a Honeyboy newborn or Bumgenious AIO in XS would be lovely special gifts too (but people seem to have varying degrees of success with AIO's and pockets in the newborn days).

I thought that I might go with MCN advocacy (I was heading towards prefold but I might get those for her later) and bought 2 custom TIC fitteds (newborns) and a NN Nappy Stash which has a Bumgenius Pocket, a baby green growing, 2 tots bots - bamboo and cotton, an itti bitti aio, a berryplush aio and a wet bag. I have picked colours that I like so if she doesnt like them or use them she can pass them back to me Sound ok?
