Default New and need advice...

Hi all,

Well I am new to Nappycino and to the modern cloth nappies. I was given 2 modern nappies just today and am trying them out..i think one is beautiful bots and the other is thumbprintbehinds. Anyways, just wondering what you guys would recommend, having used modern cloth before.

My little girl is 5months old, and we use a disposable at night, as she is a heavy wetter. During the day, we could have between 0-3 poos, just depends on her and the general wet nappies.

I was thinking of getting either a pocket nappy or babybeehind hemp nappy (and put a cover over it). Please give me some advice as to what you would recommend

Thanks in advance...

Thats really hard to advise on as it all depends on what style of nappy you like best. Personally I like pockets, but probably the fitted style is the most popular. Both pockets and BB's can be good for day or night, for a pocket it just depends on the outer fabric and what you stuff it with. Pockets are great cause you can customise the amount of absorbancy by putting the required amount/type of fabric in. But even with fitted types, you can add boosters for extra absorbancy. Pockets have the advantage of being quick drying so you probably wouldnt need as many in your stash to last you if you wash regularly.
Hope that Helps
Goodluck and if you need any more help, just ask!

Second hand nappies used to be sold on Ebay but I'm pretty sure they don't anymore. Essential Baby has a trading area where you can sometimes find out about nappies.

Why don't you buy one of a few different types of nappies and see which ones you like best? You can also get All in Ones that have snap in bits (like Itti Bitti AIOs) or fold out bits (like Rumpsters) that help them dry more quickly.

Why don't you introduce yourself in our Getting to Know You area?

Good luck! Modern Cloth is so addictive

Hi Giggles and welcome to NC!

For second hand shops, one of our advertisers: http://stinkycheeksbabyshop.com/catalog/ sells 2nd hand nappies.
