Default Pics of our Reconstructed Nappies!!

Well, I got a little excited about this challenge, so I made mine this morning! LOL!

I totally stuffed up in all the excitement, and overlocked the layers together with the elastic on the inside (ie. would have been touching DD's butt!) so had to add another layer of flanelette.

We started with an old shirt from PJ's of mine and a REALLY old towel. There is an entire layer of the towel, with a 2 layer soaker sewn in of the towel.
Then the flanelette is an old flanny flat that was in the cupboard.

Pretty happy with it, except I seriously need to get my overlocer serviced

The print says Knock Out Boxing Academy and the gloves have glitter on them...puuuuurdy!

Default Our Reconstructed Nappies!!

This thread is to show off pictures of our latest reconstructed nappies!

All the nappies shown here should be made out of recycled fabrics - eg. fabrics bought in Op Shops, old clothing/towels/bedsheets etc etc. Basically the theme is to extend the life of unused materials around the house.

To see the thread that started it all off, click here.

Belindah, I love love what you did! And how cool to use the pj print as the back of the nappy! What pattern did you use?

Yeah I'd like to know that too, I think I'll make a nappy I normally don't make which would be a side snapper

It looks fantastic Belinda!

A question for you refashionistas, for nappy fleece, would it work using old fleece jumpers? Or are they a different kind of fleece? Has anyone tried that before?

Yes, it does work.
They need to be 100% polyester though,
So not like the jersey kind, only the polar fleece kind.
