Default Friend allergic to Wool,

My friend is allergic to wool and is wanting some idea's on what other covers she can use, she is in the US............got any idea's

there are synthetic alternatives like fleece that can used as effectively. Malden Mills fleece is one good example, has similar properties to wool in a synthetic form.

With wool allergies though, very few people are alergic to wool itself, it's most like the chemicals they use to strip and process the wool that she is allergic to. You could suggest she contact a WAHM that makes clothing from organic wool for a sample if she wants to test this theory?

morwenna from Mosiac Moon uses a lot of organic wool perhaps she could contact her for a piece of wool to test the theory with? (justt wrap it round an ankle and see how she goes!)

also you can use acrylic soakers but they need similar care as fleece (wash more frequently)

You can always use fleece as the others have suggested or PUL covers. There are lots of nice prints in the PUL covers (like the Tots Bots ones) or the Berry Plush covers are beautiful
