Default My Pea Pods are a bit stinky!

I am very new to the whole MCN thing and have noticed that one of my pea pods (the one my son did a #2 in) has come out of the wash a bit stinky. There wasn't much #2 on it. I did a normal machine wash with half the detergent and on warm. Should I do a pre-rinse? What is the best temp, warm, hot or cold?

yep i do a pre rinse in cold. gets the majority of poo/wee out before the wash
i also wash in cold.
id just rewash it, or wear it again (just dont smell it LOL! - it should be clean even if its abit smelly.) maybe next time you wash use more detergent and an extra final rinse.
stripwashing is also recommended for smells - it could be a build up of washing powder residue holding the smells in.

I find some of my nappies retain the smell more than others, might depend on materials used
I find sun helps

Mine have never smelled- I think it's because all my nappies bake for long hours in the sun everyday- nothing smelly in the fibre's could survive that, surely! And I wash on hot... which explains the power bill....
