Default What does wick mean?

You can tell how new I am to this. Can someone please tell me what wick or wicking means?

it usually happens in the crotch area, if your bub has had a nappy on for too long and there isn't enough absorbancy. More likely to happen with printed cotton pul. IMHO

yep wicking is basically the action of moisture traveling along or through fabric.. most commonly used in reference to moisture making it to the outside of nappies.. traveling along where the inner and outer fabrics meet

We also talk about a stay dry liner such as microfleece or suedecloth allowing moisture to "wick" through to the absorbant fabric behind. Wicking can be good too
