Arrangement of inserts?

Just wondering if I was arranging my inserts properly. I sometimes use a hemp/cotton trifold (is that what you call the square that folds in three?) and a microfibre insert. I put the microfibre inside the trifold. Is that what I am supposed to do? Do I then have the one layer of hemp/cotton closer to bub or have the two layers that are folded on top of each closer to him. Or is it all wrong and I shouldn't be putting the microfibre insert in the middle of the trifold?

I personally put the microfibre on top of the hemp. I have heard that this is a good idea because microfibre sucks up moisture really quickly, while hemp is better at holding onto it. So if you have the microfibre there as the first point of contact for the wee, it grabs it and wicks it away quickly, then the hemp does a good job of more slowly soaking it up and holding it, gradually absorbing the wee across its length.

I don't think it makes a gigantic difference because plenty of nappies are hemp only and they are very absorbent, but I find it works quite well the way I do it .

I also put the microfibre booster on top of the hemp closest to bub (in a pocket nappy of course )

It seems to be working ok. But I have a pocket change? nappy and it's booster is really huge and doesn't seem to fit in the folded piece. I was wondering if it was supposed to or not. Seems like it will be ok to put it on top of the trifold. Thanks for everyones help.
