I would get OSFA hemp/bamboo Baby Beehinds + fleece covers or wool (we luckily have a great grandma who knits beautifully so Charlotte has a big stack of woolies). That is what we use the most.

AIO's don't dry here in winter so they don't get much use plus we've had the most containment/leak issues with AIOs.

For daycare though I can't go past Peapods. Easy to stuff, fast to dry, not hard for daycare to deal with.

I know that they are not popular around here but I have got about half a dozen "fluffies" brand nappies that got LOADS of wear around the house with no cover on. They work for us but I know that they aren't a popular option? If anyone can enlighten me on that point that would be great actually???

Aside from absorbancy, I don't like them because the velcro is too high up, and scratchy - it digs into my LO's skin and rubs it red raw ... Not very durable either.

the inner is a sponge(well mine were), so for babies laying on tummies/back (compression) it is a nightmare, they were my first MCN and neraly put me off completely as they leaked constantly for us.

I have to say now that our nappy time is over, I would do it all again pretty similarly.
I have/had nearly every type of nappy, print , fabric and style and I have loved every minute of trying them and owning them.

I had heaps of pockets and I actually prefer them to AIOs, I love the quick dryness of them, not to say i didn't love the AIOs I did, but I really had a pocket thing

nothing beats fitteds and wool for me, but I liked to be the one in care of him with them, I never trust anyone else to care for wool and fitteds like me (weird but true?)

TBH the only thing I'd change is I'd get to try all the new WAHMs that have entered the market (or products) since Felix became TA, I just love some of the new nappies I've been seeing.

When i started with MCN I started with a stash of BB plush comforts. I love these and they are still my most used and reliable nappy almost 2 years later.
The only thing I regret is that I would love more Honeyboy AIO's and a Momobutterfly cover. These were so easy to get 18 months ago but who would spend that much on a pretty cover ( I was so naive in those days ) and I found the AIO thing a bit overwhelming.
Oh - and I would have used Sandmans as my only night nappy (except Mel wasn't making them yet )

But I have to say - it has been a fun and rewarding journey (even without HB AIO's & a Momobutterfly cover). It sure was cheaper when I used terry flats though

I have already been going over this. 1 of everything LOL in particular cute tooshies, they were the best fitting fitteds I had for Abbi. In addition to that I will be making some bamboo prefolds with BV on one side, soy fitteds, Bamboo Terry/BV fitteds and Minky AIO's for DH who refused to use anything but my nappies last time OH OH OH I forgot those cute newborn longies on ebay that someone posted a link to in the hyena den (assuming we have a girl)... oh yeah and I will beg Katanya for more Baa Bums

I am pretty happy with my stash, I have over 30 now finally.
I love all my pockets, GK, SB, Pookey.
I love my Itti AIO and rumpster
I love BBB, dont like hemp just cos they dry too hard.

I didnt like cuddlebuns, or the itti fitted, but everything else I have been happy with.

Still struggling with the night combo, so no comment on nite nappies.
