I think they call the terry used in those baby faceclothes 'baby terry'. I've got a few of them & that's what mine were called.

Most of my wipes are flannette on one side, terry on the other. A few are velour/terry or velour flannette or 2 sided flannette. And I have a few lovely ones which are sherpa on one side, velour on the other.

How many? I've got maybe 40 maybe 50. There are 27 by the change table (just went in there to count ), some in the nappy bag & a few days worth on the line. I like to have enough that there are also wipes available at the change table, without me having to go find some before a change, so I made a stack of them one afternoon.

Hmmm I might go looking for these wipes at bigW...

Any idea what size they are and if they fit into the huggies tubs?

Thanks for the ideas!

I use cut up polar fleece for my wipes. I originally cut the first batch to fit into a wipes container I had. I have since cut them up a bit bigger. I didn't have to overlock the edges. Oh and my cutting is so bad. So they are all different sizes. We have heaps of them with 2 boys in nappies.

I was wondering if anyone had used microfibre cloths for wipes? I have one nappy booster which is microfibre on the underside and of course some poo go onto it one day and I was surpised at how easily the poo came off it. considering its textured surface, I was thinking it might be a good choice for grabbing the poo and for rinsing off afterwards. I know it is not recommended for against babies skin in a nappy because it is drying, but perhaps a quick wipe would be fine? WDYT?

Mine are Polar Fleece/Flannel, they are pretty good. I like the fleece side for wiping poo then turn over and fold to wipe again. I usually use two wipes per poo change... one on just a wee.

What materials would be good for a cloth wipe (for periods)?

I think Enjo sell personal cleaning cloths made from microfibre, so I don't see why you shouldn't give it a go. Wiping with something is very different to leaving it against the skin for an extended period of time.
