It sounds like the suede cloth is repelling.
How are you washing them?

Hi Tina,

I was rinsing them on the rinse cycle followed by washing them with 1/4 cup washing powder (Planet Ark) in a top loader. I dont use any barrier balms / creams.

when i started using planet ark all my pockets started repelling, i stoped using it & did a strip wash & they are all fine now - not 100% sure it was the washing powder doing it but it sure helped switching.

I'm using Planet Ark powder at the moment too and I've cut back to using only 1/2-1 tablespoon. I think 1/4 cup would be too much. As I'm discovering, with pockets you just needed the smallest amount of detergent. (I'm keen to find out how people are going with the Soap Nuts (check out the thread on those) as I'd assume they'd have less risk of a build up.)

So, perhaps when you are ready to give them another go, try a strip wash and then just use a smidge of detergent in your washes.
