The analogy has been made many times, that disposable nappies should be seen like disposable plates and cutlery. You use those when you really have to, on a picnic, or at a party or for Christmas dinner in a hospital room as we did once!! But you would think it terribly wasteful and unnecessary (and ugly) to use plastic plates and forks for every meal.
I think of disposable nappies in the same way, and I really wish that our culture could start to swing towards that attitude as well.

that was what we were like in the 80s sposies were hardly used...
but with fh products they were seen as a speciality item during the 40s (i mean pads and tampons)
of course if you choose to use ec or cloth or disposies then you are the one making the choice
don't forget in '93 only 40% of australian bambini were in a disposable
