Where can I go and SEE & TOUCH some cloth nappies?

Hi All!

As I said on a previous post, I'm pretty new to this and trying to convince my wife that cloth is the way to go... I had great answers to my initial questions, so now I can make sense of what most moms (are there any other dads around here?) say in here, thanks all for that. Now, I'd like to take my wife to a place where we can see cloth nappies, really understand how they work and so on. Is there such a shop somewhere in Sydney (around the northern beaches would be great, but will travel if necessary)? Any ideas on how I can do it?

Hi Carlos,

I'm not sure where you are in Sydney, but i know that there are regular ozcloth meet ups (or nappycinos as we like to call them). That could be a great opportunity to see a range of nappies and accessories outside a retail environment. I'm a little vague this morning so I can't recall where they meet - if you're interested, PM me and I can try harder to find the details.

What about the Pregnancy, Babies & Children's Expo at the Sydney Showground Dome this weekend. There will be cloth nappies there and well as heaps of other stuff (someone maybe able to point you in the direction of the exhbitor list). Their website www.pbcexpo.com.au still has the free ticket per family.

Going to the expo is a great idea! At ours in little old Adelaide there were several cloth nappy stands inc. Baby Beehinds & Cute Tooshies.

i'm confused the expo is in perth and by your post carlos you are in sydney is that correct?
any way welcome to forum and good luck with your efforts in converting your wife
have you thought of checking out some cheap 2nd hand newborn size for show and tell then actually using them as just cause your wife doesnt want touse them it doesnt mean you cant when you have bub or on your days off

The Expo is held all around OZ. This weekend is in Sydney, and later this year in Perth (I believe).. I think is exactly what we are looking for at this stage, as we still have four months to go.

Donni I think there is one in Perth and one in Sydney ( the same weekend) two different expos ( Perth has two, one at burswood and one at the show grounds)
