Default Fitted Nappies for 2yo?

Hi there

I am wanting to put my 2yo girl into fitted nappies. I have cute tooshies for my 3mo and they do fit my 2yo also but they are a little bit low in front - they do the job but I think not for much longer. She is a very tall, lean 2yo.

So just wondering what everyone would recommend for her? I am really happy with the tooshies otherwise so something similar would be great. I was hoping to just have the one big stash that would do them both but I think she needs one of her own. Gives me a good excuse to keep cyber browsing

Thanks

Merlyn, I would recommend very baby in the medium/long or large size or bits fot bots were a fabulous fit ~ trim but high rise and very absorbent.

Tots Bots size 2 fit my 14kg 2.5year old really well.

Benji is 10.5kg and just over 2yo. He is tall and lean

He uses Baby Beehinds Bamboo,
Very Baby - large,
HoneyBoy Basic - Medium,
NicNaps - large,
Peep-O - large (oh bugga I think that ones a large),
He did have a couple of fitted Keester Kovers that were a large that were slightly large for him. So I think a medium would have been a better fit.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head that we use.

Ben's 2 and somewhere around 10kg or thereabouts
he wears mediums and is still on the smallest settings
our favourites in no particular order are:
CK HoneyBoy basics
CK Raphael (got our first one yesterday and it's great!)
Bits for Bots (fitted nappies)
Kidz in Cloth
bamboo Beehinds (we use ours at night)
and my own nappies (obviously - they were designed to fit my kids!!)

if your dd is tall, she might need a large rather than a medium to get the rise you need, or a medium long in some brands (like the HoneyBoys)
Bits for Bots are pretty generous in the rise, so would probably be fine with the medium.

Chelsea is nearly 2 but she is very tall for her age & weighs 14kg.

The best fitting nappies we have for her are the Bits for Bots closely followed by Baby Beehinds bamboo or hemp. I find the medium/long Very Babys too skinny across the bum for her & the large fits her well but it is quite a big nappy compared to the Bits for Bots or Baby Beehinds.

My DD was (still is) a very slim girl. She is nearly 3 and weighs about 12kg.

Our best fitting nappies when she was in them were:

Fitted Itti Bittis
Pookey Pockets (fitted pocket)
Cute Tooshies Quickdry Cuddlebuns
and my own brand - (but they were designed for her so to be expected)
and we used BBB for nights

Anything side snapping never fit her properly at all, they would go pouchy at the front.

i think nurture nappies has a SPECIAL NEEDS link which has larger nappies in it i.e for toddlers (as opposed to babies)

whizz kidz side snappers are a multi fit from 4kg - 15kg, they are a high rise on my six month old, i wonder if anyone else could give you advice, if the WK SS are still high rise on toddlers.

i have seen a photo of a Mandy Mac OSFA nappy on a slim two year old and it looked like it fitted well.

If it was me, i would contact Jayne from Nurture Nappies and Janie from Wee WUns and ask their advice. They see so many brands and can tell you, out of all they see, what would best suit your needs. They are so helpful, i would pick their brains. E>g my kid weighs x, her rise is blah, these are the nappy brands i have her in already that are high enough in the rise for her, i need this style of nappy for her, what do you have that meets that criteria please?
