Hi all
I have a 3 month old son and am thinking of getting some MCNs for him. We live in a tropical climate and so it is hot and humid all year around. Can anyone recommend a nappy i can trial which is more suitable for warm weather? thanks

I'm successfully using fitteds & prefolds with PUL covers as well as pockets...and it's 44+ deg and VERY humid here every day at the moment!!

Hi Nicole
Is your baby in AC for most of the day though? I live in Singapore and its about 30 - 32 deg every day and 90% humidity. We dont have AC on in our house and use ceiling fans all day. Some of those nappies look so padded and i just wondered if it would be suitable for our climate? I would probably only use them during the day with about 2 -3 hrly changes. Tara

Hi Tara,
We have AC but I turn it on as little as possible. I find everyone gets sick too often if the AC is on all day. Because the houses are all made of solid concrete they stay relatively cool inside so we're probably living at about the same temperatures as you, most of the time. I'm a Queenslander so used to the humidity! I've only just started with cloth so have a very limited collection so far. My Mum has just knited some wool soakers for me so I'll be using them most of the time for Josie once they get here. I think you'll find frequent changes and using a liner will avoid any problems...got to keep the wee off the skin. Kind regards, Nicole
