How many woolies do I need?
I am due in 4 weeks with my first bub and I have been putting together a nappy/wooly collection for the last few months now. I want to be able to use longies/capris/shorties for day wear at home plus for nights (with soakers for nights in summer).
I was wondering if anyone could give some advice as to how many woolies for each size is an appropriate number given the time of year bubs is due. I live in Toowoomba Qld so winter is cold but summer not usually so bad for Qld (not humid).
I have been busy knitting some longies/soakers and bought 1 pair as well.
This is what I have so far:
Newborn - 3x longies (2x 10ply knitted by me 1x Wooly Butts), 1x 10 ply soaker
Small - 1 x 8 ply longies, 1x 10 ply capris pants, 1x 8 ply wrap soaker, (plus a small BB wool wrap)
Medium - 1x 10 ply wrap soaker, 1x 10 ply soaker
I also have some wool waiting for specific projects:
250g of 10 ply wool - medium longies (to fit bubs measurements for next winter)
100g of 10 ply for either another small capris or sm/med shorties (???)
250g of 8ply on order to make a flirty skirty for summer (waiting for bubs arrival to check sizing for this)
250g of 8ply (I am not totally happy with the colour) for something as well.
I know I probably need some shorties and possibly more capris but I am unsure what size and ply to make.
Any advice on what I should be making if anything?
