Question Special Needs

I had a quick look and couldn't find a thread about cloth nappies and special needs.

I have a baby with hyperextensible joints which means she can put her legs in really amazing positions (like straight up next to her head). What this means is that while I'm looking for an absorbent nappy, one of my main priorities is trimness so that her legs are not being splayed too much. She will actually have to wear a type of restricting garment while learning to crawl and possibly while learning to walk to keep her legs together.

Do you have a baby with special needs and how has that affected your decision on which cloth nappy you use?

What are people's favourite trim nappies?

You will find there are quite a few nappies that are trim in the crotch - is that what you mean? I only really know about a few AIOs from my stash - Swaddlebees, itti bittis, wrigglebumz, beetlebums and rumpsters all have trim crotches. Also Swaddlebees pockets (which are one of my faves right now in the cooler weather). I'm sure there are lots more out there I haven't tried yet (DH would hit the roof if I bought any more )

My DD has LMT as a result of her DS, so while she isnt as flexible as your DD I do know what you are talking about as I have seen kids with this . We are pretty much exclusively using Ittis now I love the trimness of them. We have a variety of fitteds and AIOs and they are both great to use
Swaddlbees are also very trim but I dont like pockets as much so havent bothered with them too much. I have 1 rumpster and it isnt as trim as the Itti IMHO.
Good luck in your search
