Thank you all so much! I have been reading all your advice on here for a while now and have just finished making my own nappies for my daughter.

I took your advice when starting out to try before you buy! I had the lovely Kelli from Nurture Nappies come and do a demonstration for my friends and I and I have bought several types to try from recommendations on here. I settled on the type that were the best for my daughter and I have made my own!

Having never sewed in my life!! (My mother is dressmaker though!) She helped me and we came up with a pattern and I have made 24 nappies! What a great satisfaction it is to make your own things!

Anyway, just wanted to say thank you for all your advice and this forum! And to all the newbies out there, persist, it is worth it in the end!

Yes! I had about 8 ladies there and I definitely converted 3. The others like the idea but are still taking time to come around fully. I have been showing off my nappies and they are all drooling now though! They want me to make them some too! It took me 2 months to make these!!
