Thanks for your replies everyone, especially pobie who gave me a good list to follow.
I have ordered
1 x bbh magicall aio
1 x itti bitii snap in aio
1 x bitti boo fitted
1 x bbh bamboo fitted
1 x totz botz pul cover (I know i already have one, but it was cute)
1 x swaddlebees pocket touch tape
1 x mini wonder bag wet bag

I hope these will give me a good idea of what will work for us. I'd really like to try a bumgenious too, they look quite good. Where will be the best place to sell second hand if I need to once i've tried them?

Swaps are great, always something you want that someone else doesn't or the other way around. I'd say all of those products are highly swappable too....many well liked nappies there. Good buying!

If you feel like you want to spend some more I would try to throw a side snapping nappy into the mix. I find side snapper work so much better for us but it really depends on your baby's shape. Side snappers are good if you have a baby with skinny legs vs chubby belly or the other way around.

Thanks. I think the addiction has started and I haven't even received my first package yet! I hope I like them.... I just decided to add a bumgenious to my order... Oh dear the credit card is not looking good atm...!!
My DD has just done her third exploding poo / leaking disposable nappy in a row. I figure if I am washing poo off clothes this often, I may as well be washing the nappy as well! - Won't make any difference time-wise to what I am doing now!
