Question Nappy rash / barrier cream?

What do people do when their bub needs some barrier cream to clear up nappy rash? My dd never got a red butt in a sposie but often does now by the end of the day in cloth (despite using fleece liners and changing every 2 hours or so). She is still wearing a sposie at night and a bit of zinc based cream overnight usually does the trick but when she needs it during the day I don't want it wiping off all over her nappy! What should I do?

I just do it and if the fleece liner gets creamy I either do a hotwash of liners or throw them away and cut new ones.

Eenees flushable liners are good. I use them when DD needs something heavy duty on her nappy rash.

I use Calendula Ointment - not the cream. And the brand is Greenridge. You should be able to get it at a healthfood store or a larger pharmacy. It's great on red bottoms.

Cheers

I use an olive oil based calendula ointment it is great never had an issue with it on the nappies. I get it from the handmade naturals in Brisvegas

I have found with ds1 that fleece makes it worse and have to use natural fibre inners till it clears up, so either hemp or bamboo inners. Also nappy free time helps heaps too.

Microfleece actually heats up a bit down there...I too find the same happens.

As pp suggested, try using eenee flushable wipes. You don't need the whole sheet, just cut in half and use one.

I also use calendulis plus cream and works a treat, also no marks left on nappies/liners.

Can I ask where you buy this from? Can you get it online at all? Thanks!
