Default Lanolin for wool

I see heaps of lanolin online for soaking woolies in to waterproof them but I can't seem to find them in normal shops! I'm just lazy to have to pay for postage, tried a couple of chemists and they just give me weird looks and point me towards lanolin hand creams!!

Where can I get some lanolin? Eep can't believe baby is going to be here next week and I haven't done my woolies! talk about lazy

Lansinol (can't spell it) you can use for lanolising woolies. You will find it in chemists. Its typically used as nipple cream. You dissolve a pea size into 1/2 cup of boiling water and then add it to a bucket of tepid water and then add your woolies inside out.

The online lanolin spray is so much easier to use believe me & all the different smelly ones you can get are great.
I much prefer the spray to making up the lanisoh (or however you spell it) mix - you just wash your wollies, spray them & then hang them on the airer to dry.

Bec i do find the sprays good but i also find it necessary to fully lanolise with a soak when i have washed my woolies. i use the sprays as an inbetween wash freshen up as they are not cheap and you do have to use a fair bit when you spray

I find if I use lanolin soap to wash the woollies, they then just need a good spray of lanolin when dry.

I've never had that problem, but then I do wash my woolies after they've been worn for about a week.

Ok i think i need to make tepid more tepid and less cool!

Soaked my BBH wool and my stacinators and the bottom one got a bit of a lanolin patch on it (I think). LOL well practice makes perfect! I'll just have to put this one on heaps and wash it after a week

And I put a pea sized dollop for 3 covers, that's ok isnt' it?
