I do whatever fits
for a while I was able to do them up symmetrically, but usually I pull one wing over and do it up where it seems comfortable, and then I do the other wing up where that seems comfortable too. sometimes it may be symmetrical, sometimes not. doesn't really matter as long as the nappy doesn't fall off unless of course you have issues with it not being symmetrical (which I sometimes have )there aren't any rules about doing nappies up. just whatever works for you. |

I'm a bit of a symmetry nerd
so I make sure they are on the same settings on both sides...but having said that, if the nappy really didn't fit properly, I'd probably force myself to do it up however it fit & put a cover over it so I didn't have to look

i hated things being non-symmetrical too! plus you end up with 2 different sized legholes if they're different settings for different sides

What Kim said because sometimes symmetrical worked (much prefer that lol) and sometimes it was just that bit too tight, but symmetrical one snap out was too big so...

on some fitteds, i add snaps, like if the ones it was made with, seem too far apart for me. Rather than "rest" that nappy until it fits bilby right.
Like on some of our SS, it might have come with three pairs on the wings. Now there are five. Customised to suit us. Usually the same snap on each side - so symmetrical. but often one setting for legs another setting for waist which is why we prefer the SS. have no idea if that answers your question or not |

I like to be symmetrical but sometimes the nappies a little crooked and it doesn't work that way. Another snap trick is to do the first snap up for the right tightness around the legs and then fasten the second snap with a gather (skip a snap) this stops and gapping at the front/tummy area

I like them done up the same, but it doesn't always work. I think one of katherine's legs is chubbier than the other. So I'm usually a snap off on the right hand side. That's for front snaps.
Side snaps are different cause she has a little waist and chubby thighs, so she is one snap looser on both legs for those. |
