Oh Jojo, that's great to hear you've got a long one! That'll solve half your troubles, Riv was long, and that makes it much easier to go the size up in pants, because your bub will tend to need the length anyway!
Definitely get your mum knitting, wool is nice and stretchy, and if the longies are too long, easy to tack them up! Plus they look so cute!
