You can get clothes specifically made for cloth bottoms- Cut 4 Cloth. I have some that I bought from here... Girls - Bright Pineapple :: Organic Baby Clothes for Cloth Nappies | Natural, Organic Cotton Baby Wear | Toddler Clothes. Unfortunately they are closing down (but they have everything on sale- so some great buys!). The other thing is you can put out a wanted ad to have some clothes made by a WAHM here- they know exactly how to make clothes to fit cloth bottoms :-)
To be honest I have only really found it to be a big problem with night nappies. Most of the nappies I have are trim enough to fit under normal clothes generally speaking. I also use alot of Bonds Stretchies. Good luck :-) xLindy

Girls are easy in summer.....skirts/dresses
I find for pants, the best are the adjustable waist ones (like from pumpkin patch). Get a size bigger and you can make the waist narrower. Lucky my girl is tall though so they dont look really long. Otherwise stretchy clothes-Mila lives in bonds stretchies (the stripy range) They look cute with a little denim skirt or pinafore over the top too ![]() Flongies are great in winter...you will notice as the weather cools you will see heaps of them and some of them are sooo gorgeous HTH

Maybe it's just my bub's shape - but I've never had a problem with clothes fitting over cloth nappies, and we use a variety of nappies -both fitteds with covers and AIO's. Katherine is 20mths now, and for daycare I sent B4B, MD or the like and she's wearing just little knit shorts over the top. I have some jeans in a size 1 and a tikki size 0 pants and they both fit also. Perhaps it's just the brand.
We used woolies with bonds wondersuits or the like last winter and we never had any wicking issues either. |

We've found the normal clothes fit over Pickle's cloth bum, specially over Itti's (cause they're so bitty
), Pickle is in the normal size clothes... when Squish was the same age we went up a size on the bottom cause he was a terry flats baby (no MCN, very bulky!)... we go up a size for Pickle in his sleepsuits at night with no problems (we use a night nappy with a wool cover)... for winter we are planning to put him in knitted longies a lot anyway (or babylegs)

I usually just use tshirts here in the warmer months... or long sleeved tshirts at night.
I mostly stick to things that are either generously sized, or separate tops and bottoms (so you can buy different sizes in each, if need be) mostly at home he doesn't wear bottoms though. Have you tried using PUL at night? That would make a much trimmer option under pjs.... or like others suggested, use woolies! using baby legs is another option too. I also don't worry about matching ... I go for practical more than cutesy matching ![]() Its pretty much impossible to match nappies to outfits unless they are made to go together, especially as they will usually be wearing the same outfit with a few different nappies.... so Lachie is just loud and proud with his outfits

Another option instead of longies, is PUL at night, like Lis said - we'll use PUL if Riv's needing a jumpsuit for warmth. (we don't have any longies that fit atm)
As for during the day, start researching trim nappies - PUL covers will always be trim, we find our Itti Bittis and BumG's to be trim, I've heard Lotus AIO's are trim...ask, search, try nappies and find some trim options for under the tighter clothes. If you're still wanting to use fitteds and covers, I know we found our Tots Bots Bamboozles to be trim (being bamboo terry, they're quite slinky, I imagine Bambineo Mio's would be similar too) with PUL covers. All the best!

Thanks so much everyone for you replies.
I was having a bad day today (thats another story) and then dressing Laila I tried on three different pairs of her 000 pants and had a real job trying to get them on. She is actually a long baby (95th percentile) so maybe that is more the problem (the extra rise plus the bulkier nappy combined). I love the woolies for winter so I'm going to have to look out for some on Buy4Baby or get Mum knitting some for me (I've spent too much on nappies lately to be buying new woolies )I'd love to get some BabyLegs too as they would be great under winter dresses etc. Great idea thanks ![]() When looking for new stuff I will most likely upsize her in the bottom half I think - buy separates instead of sets. Thanks for all the tips ladies. I feel a bit more confident with things now I think
