thanks lousmum i wasn't sure where you put it, other than between the legs

so, maybe i should get more bamboo boosters and no wool ones? as i was hoping for them to go between the skin and the flats.

I just have a spray bottle with cooled boiled water and use that with some facewashers. Have just purchased some bamboo wipes too.

I would say that's a good idea. I think (not sure cause I've never used wool boosters myself) that people use the wool boosters more for bubs that are sleeping through/sleeping longer between the nappy and the cover - I could be totally off track there though I generally use a bamboo booster in that way myself, as do a lot of others.

I think to begin with you won't need so much extra boosting overnight as newborns don't sleep through, and generally don't sleep really long stretches anyway.

If you check the newborn cloth experiences forum you'll probably find some information about boosting for a newborn/younger bub. I recall reading recently that people have liked using bamboo/hemp boosters with flats/prefolds, to catch a bit more wee. You might find some helpful information in there
