Default How Many?

We are in the process of working out how much it is going to cost us to get set up for full time cloth. We have decided to go with the BBH AIOs for day time and the BB fitted bamboo for nights. But I am not sure how many to get. How many AIOs in each size would you say? And would 6 fitteds be enough for for 2-3 kids (DS1 is still not toilet trained and definatly not at night) or should I double that to be safe? Also, how many wool covers for nights in each size?

It can take 2-4 days for BBB's to dry so I would take that into consideration.

Also, I would try out the BBH's AIO's first before you buy an entire stash of them. They are great nappies dont get me wrong, just you would need to try them out to make sure they are the right fit for your kids. AIO's work for some babies and other babies need fitted nappies with a cover so they have a second layer of defence for explosions iykwim.

You can always use flat nappies for the baby for the first few months and then convert to the AIO;s

We have tried out the older AIOs on Kai and they seem to do okay. Found that the fitteds seemed to get a lot more soaked than the AIOs did. I also have the older Magic-alls in newborn for the new baby to use once she arrives, hopefully they will work for her to. Trying to keep away from the flats though, I can not fold them to save my life. :

wOW 3 kids in nappies!!!!

I've got 2 and whilst we almost managed a successful TT journey, it quite didn't happen.

We have about 10 Magicalls, 3 ittis's, another 10 made by me, and about 15 fitted BBB, and some other (about 3-4) different ones. I have 8 pul wraps (also by BBH), and 4 wool soakers that I made from wool interlock. I also have 2 pairs of flongiues which i love to use in colder weather at night.

With this amount, I tend to wash every second day...and that's not a "I'm desperate for more nappies". I just don't like leaving them longer than 2 days.

Lol, yes, don't like the idea of 3 in nappies but we didn't quite get into the TT good enough before the cold weather set in so now we are just waiting for it to warm up a bit before we start trying at it again.

Wow, that is a lot of nappies! I guess it could be a bit of a trial and error on numbers depending on what different baby's wetting patterns are. I guess the more night nappies the better since 3 will be using them though.

Same - we're hanging for the warmer weather, we're going to attempt both boys at the same time ***fingers crossed***

Oh and definitely night nappies - I don't have enough night nappies as such, so I am usually trying to get these washed and ready always.

I think on average a toddler will be changed 5-6 times in a 24 hr period??? Mine are usually 5 times a day. Can't remember with newborn excpet it was something like every 2-3 hrs non stop
