if you can find a high cotton content windcheater fleece that works well for prefolds.....I made them 2x3x2 for my lil man when he was a nb and I loved them! I guess you could even use the 80%cotton 20% rayon/nylon whatever it is lol. NB dont need a whole lot of absorbancy, but laying an extra booster in while putting it on is what I used after about a month when I needed a bit more absobancy.
clear as mud? sorry HTH Amanda |

Re size of newborn prefold: 2 X 6 X 2, 24cm x 33cm (to 4.5kg) or infant 4 X 8 X 4, 30.5cm x 40.5cm (3-6kg). I don't remember where I got these dimensions from so I don't know how accurate they are.
I have some flannelette prefolds in infant size which I initially used prefold style with a snappi and now still use tri-folded inside a cover. I find theat the flanneltette is still absorbent enought at 14 months. Re the snappi'able material - I have seen pics (somewhere?) of flannelette pre-folds that had small squares of terry just in the snappi zone - that way you don't have to worry about the whole pre-fold being of snappiable material. Have fun! |

I was going to make some. My mum lives in Singapore and is coming home (finally) in 3 weeks. She is going to buy me some Chinese ones and some Indian ones (and I told her to look in Malaysia for those little squirt things)
Gotta love mums!
